The Trottier Family Foundation was established to create meaningful impact that improves the lives of Canadians.

In the spirit of that vision, the Foundation specifically supports projects that promotes innovative scientific discovery, that mitigates climate change and protects the environment, enhances education, improves patient and health care, as well as providing assistance to select community and international initiatives.

Ontario Tech University thanks The Trottier Family Foundation for their generous support of our newest program!

  • Project beneficiaries: 16 undergraduate students in Ontario Tech University’s new Bachelor of Technology in Sustainable Energy Systems program.  Ontario Tech University will match the 8 TFF funded scholarships and bursaries with an additional 8 scholarships and bursaries for a total of 16 bursaries or scholarships in the Bachelor of Technology in Sustainable Energy Systems program.
  • Awards: These entrance, in-course scholarships and bursaries will be valued at $2,500 each for students of the Bachelor of Technology in Sustainable Energy Systems program. Of the 16 awards, 8 will be disbursed for academic year 2020-2021 and the remaining 8 awards disbursed for academic year 2021-2022.
  • Criteria: Bursaries will be awarded to students with financial needs. Entrance scholarships will be awarded to students with a minimum entrance average of 85% and in-course scholarships to students with a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the prior year.
